Groove Boston Mission Six

In the fall of 2022, I completed an internship with GrooveBoston Mission Six (GBM6), where I gained hands-on experience in the concert and event industry. In early 2024, I rejoined the team as a Seasonal Content Producer, focusing on capturing on-site content, including event coverage of attendees, performers, and behind-the-scenes moments.

In this role, I managed the organization’s Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts, creating and curating engaging content to enhance their digital presence. Additionally, I had the privilege of photographing performances by notable artists such as Neon Trees, Del Water Gap, Jeremy Zucker, and GAYLE. Examples of my favorite shots are included below!

Bridgewater State University Communication Studies Department

From January to May 2023, I served as a Social Media Intern for my academic department, managing its Instagram and Facebook accounts alongside one other intern. In this role, we were responsible for creating and executing a variety of creative projects aimed at promoting the department and engaging its community.

Our projects included developing Student, Alumni, and Faculty Profiles, conducting in-person interviews with faculty, and producing content for holiday and event announcements. To ensure professional and engaging content, I utilized tools such as Canva for design, as well as Facebook Meta and Planoly for scheduling and performance tracking. Examples of my work can be found below.

Social Media Management Course

Bridgewater State University - COMM 439

In this course, led by Dr. Lisa Bergson, students collaborated in teams to design and execute a comprehensive three-month social media plan and campaign for a selected brand or business. This process included developing content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, alongside creating a detailed strategy, tactical plan, evaluation framework, and budget proposal.

My team chose Urban Outfitters as our focus and crafted a spring and summer campaign centered on inclusivity and diversity.

Examples of the Instagram content I developed as part of this campaign are provided below.

Social Media Tools

Bridgewater State University - COMM 247

In this course, led by Dr. Michele Meek, students explored the comprehensive strategies and tools essential for professional social media management. The curriculum included in-depth studies of key applications utilized by brands, such as MailChimp, Canva, GIMP, Planoly, and Facebook Meta. Through this program, I gained a strong foundation in social media fundamentals and learned to apply these tools strategically to enhance online presence and engagement.

GrooveBoston Mission Six Internship

From September 2022 to January 2023, I served as an intern with the GBM6 team, a company specializing in planning, producing, and executing collegiate concerts and events across the New England area.

During my internship, I contributed to various aspects of event coordination, including attending weekly staff meetings, assisting with on-site setup and breakdown, and collaborating with partner schools to ensure seamless event execution.

Although my primary focus was not on social media, I had the opportunity to shadow the CEO and the digital media team, gaining valuable insights into their strategies. I also contributed by creating an intern highlight post for the company’s Instagram, further expanding my hands-on experience.

Examples of the content created are posted below.

Raymie Parker for Selectwoman

In 2021, I had the opportunity to support Raymie Parker’s successful re-election campaign for the Stoneham, MA Select Board. Competing against four challengers, Raymie effectively leveraged social media to amplify her message and connect with voters.

As part of her campaign team, I played a key role in creating and curating content for her social media platforms. I also assisted in developing a cohesive personal brand that remained consistent across all campaign communications. This strategic approach contributed to her victory, securing re-election in a decisive landslide. Examples of my campaign content are provided below.
